Establishment of the General Assembly of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Clubs

Location: Discussions Hall - Faculty of Mathematics and Materials Science - University of Ouargla

On the evening of Sunday, October 26, 2025, the founding meeting of the General Assembly of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Clubs was held, attended by:

  • The General Secretary of the Faculty
  • Vice Deans
  • Department Heads and their Deputies
  • Club Supervising Professors
  • Heads of Activities Departments at the Sub-Directorate and Faculty
  • Club Presidents and their Deputies

Five clubs were established, including four scientific and cultural clubs and the sports club for the Faculty of Mathematics and Materials Science.

Activities Department Goals

The Activities Department aims through its programming to:

  • Raise student awareness and discover students' energies, talents, and develop their skills
  • Provide opportunities for as many students as possible to participate in activities
  • Organize and conduct sports tournaments to enhance student performance
  • Utilize material resources provided by the administration for student activities
  • Organize diverse cultural, scientific, and sports competitions and activities
  • Enhance teamwork and leadership spirit among students

Opening of the Sports Club for Faculty of Mathematics and Materials Science

  • Semi-Olympic swimming pool

The sports club was officially opened on November 15, 2025, with the attendance of university officials and students.
